Shady Creek Family Camp and Conference Center is in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, next to the Tahoe National Forest and about 1 1/2 hours from Sacramento.

The nearest airport is Sacramento airport (SMF) 1.5 hrs.

We're centrally located between the middle and south forks of the beautiful Yuba River, and we're 25 minutes away from fishing and water skiing on Bullard's Bar Reservoir.

Up Highway 49 is Downieville, the unofficial state capital of mountain biking. Nevada City and its cozy shopping, theaters and restaurants, is 15 minutes away. Lake Tahoe is just 2 hours and 20 minutes up the highway, and historic Malakoff Diggins State Park is 25 minutes up the road from our front gate.

There's golf in Grass Valley, hiking across ridges, and enough hidden swimming holes and activities to keep everyone satisfied!

Airport to Camp Shuttle Service
We are usually able to arrange a shuttle bus from Sacramento airport (SMF) to camp and back; at this time, we do not know the cost of the shuttle for 2013, but it is likely to be in the $75 range (our cost has gone up considerably from previous years); that is for the round trip (and you must pay for the round trip even if you do not intend to use it).  Payment for the shuttle will be due at the time of your balance payment (May 1st).
If you cannot use the shuttle we will try to assist you with other arrangements. Alternative options available to you are rental car, door-to-door limousine service and carpool. Carpools have worked in the past, but are not guaranteed. Public transit is not an option because Nevada County Transit has eliminated Saturday and Sunday services. 
FYI (for those needing to book flights before we have all the details arranged), you should book your flight to arrive before 2:00 pm Saturday, June 15th; your departure should be booked for after 12:00 noon Sunday, June 23rd.
