Sierra Fiddle Camp
2026 Community Health Policy

We would like to note that fiddle camp is a somewhat unique situation in terms of public health and contagious illnesses, since we’re often in very close quarters with people who are outside of our usual social “bubbles.”

Because of this, Sierra Fiddle Camp actually does have a Health Policy for keeping our community safe.

We will not require testing of any kind for admission to camp this year. We also want to note, though, that this winter has seen a significant levels of other respiratory viruses, especially Flu and RSV. To address that, we ask you to be very mindful of the effect you might have on others in our community who might be more vulnerable to complications than you are, even if you think your symptoms are “just a cold” or “just allergies.” We ask you to be very careful of possible exposure to any contagious illnesses during the 2 weeks before camp, and IF YOU HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS of respiratory or other illness, please either cancel your trip to camp or test before you get on the plane or in the car to come to Sierra.

We do reserve the right to implement, before the start of camp, changes to our health-related (including testing) procedures, and we will notify all campers by email if such a change occurs. Any changes made would be in keeping with local Health Department recommendations and requirements, and would reflect current and emerging conditions in California and Nevada County. We do not currently anticipate a need to make any changes in the above-stated policy.
